Newcastle United has not secured a major trophy since 1969 and has not managed on winning the league silverware in over 80 years but even though their dry run has been going on for such a long period of time, it still remains being one of the clubs which has the highest average attendance in the country.
Alan Pardew is going through a tough streak of negative and disappointing results as Newcastle United lost against Everton, Southampton, Manchester United, Stoke City, Swansea City and Arsenal all in successive weeks.
The consecutive number of defeats has not gone well with the fans of Newcastle United and there even are rumors of Alan Pardew getting sacked if he is unable to conclude the season on a high note.
But Pardew does not want the negativity off the field to affect his ninth-placed team on the pitch. “I know the fans are unhappy and disappointed, particularly with myself,” Pardew said.
Mike Ashley is the owner of Newcastle United and he is the man that will take the final decision on who will be coaching the club for the next season. If Alan Pardew wants to retain his current position in the English side, he will have to impress the English Billionaire.
If Alan Pardew is unable to awe Mike Ashley and he does get sacked, there already are a few names which are being linked as potential managers who could be appointed as the new coach of Newcastle United.
David Moyes and Steve Bruce are 2 of the names which have been linked with Newcastle United. Bruce has displayed his coaching skills by promoting Hull City to the Premier League during his first season with the club and the upcoming campaign Bruce managed on pushing Hull City to the finals of the FA Cup for the first time.
