The autobiography of Dyer ‘Old Too Soon, Smart Too Late’ was recently published and he has not hidden his wish to move into the management role one day.

Dyer would work under Adem Atay, the manager of U18s at Playford Road. He said that it’s quite enjoyable when you involve yourself towards the development of youth players. He has worked with U16s earlier and it is mostly on improving as a player and there is no need to worry about the outcomes. As far as U18 level is concerned, that element is still there, but you also need to consider the competitive part too. He said he is there to help the young players as he has already been there as a youngster and can very well relate to them. He is hopeful that he would take what he has achieved during his career and the same can be passed on to the players at the academy.

NEWCASTLE TO GET THREE PREMIER LEAGUE STARS

The Magpies have resumed training as part of their pre-season plans at Benton.

The manager Rafa Benitez is still hoping to get more players in as the team hopes to make it past this season on their return to top flight English football.

Benitez wants at least five to six Premier League standard players this summer to boost the ranks. The Spanish boss would be frustrated with happenings after he led the team to the Championship title months back. Chelsea star Christian Atsu joined for £6 million but Benitez wants much more and on time as well so the season plans can be laid out.

Newcastle were linked with Chelsea star Ruben Loftus-Cheek in January. However, now presents a good chance to land the England youth international. The Blues are not likely to hand the player game time this season so United are a decent side to get top level experience. Fellow new boys Brighton & Hove Albion are also keen on landing the player.

Arsenal left back Kieran Gibbs has also been rumoured to be on the radar of United. Gibbs wants more game time which Newcastle United can offer. He featured in just 11 league games last term. His £8 million valuation is also affordable considering the trainings he’s received, exposure and mentality. He also has a year left on his deal so it is a good deal for United. The big deal would be if the player would be ready to accept a pay cut when he moves to Tyneside.

Benitez is still chasing a former star Pepe Reina who is with Napoli. Other sides are reported to be interested in the player but Reina is keen on playing for Benitez again.

On the side, Charlton Athletic have confirmed the appointment of Lee Bowyer as the assistant manager. Hopefully he would not fall out with any player. His experience with Kieron Dyer should serve as a reminder.

CIARAN CLARK – NEWCASTLE UNITED WOULD BE READY

Newcastle defender Ciaran Clark has said that the club would be ready for the Premier League next season.

The Magpies won the Championship title on the final day of the season though they had won promotion ahead. Clark insists that their recent relegation and subsequent promotion back into the tier 1 will ensure they are ready when the season restarts in August.

Rafa Benitez came on late last season but he has restored normalcy to the side. He is set to guide them to the new season as they return to the top flight.

Clark was part of the Aston Villa side that were confirmed relegated to the second tier after the 2015/2016 season. He says he learnt personally after moving to St James Park last summer. He sayd thee are “Exciting times ahead” as the team returns to playing against the best players in the best stadiums in the world.

“We will be ready. We will prepare well and be ready for the challenge,” he says.

He moved from his boyhood club after their relegation as he jumped ship to join Benitez. The Rep of Ireland international says he has loved his experience as the whole staff and players “worked so hard” to achieve the promotion.

A former Newcastle United star Kieron Dyer had prophesized the promotion, saying it was “the best thing” for the club. Was part of the Bobby Robson side that helped Newcastle to the Champions League. Since Benitez joined the club, there has been obvious changes and hope for the team. Dyer said it was good they got a manager like Benitez who would take care of the club and rebuild the foundations.

“They will go straight back up and probably won’t go down ever again,” he had said and it’s been true.

Jermaine Jenas Explains the Reason for Kieron Dyer and Lee Bowyer Bust up

St Johnstone teammates Richard Foster and Danny Swanson were involved in an ugly bust up during the weekend.

This event sparked memories of the clash between Kieron Dyer and Lee Bowyer when the pair were teammates at Newcastle. This remains as one of the greatest examples of infighting within teammates. Then-Newcastle midfielder Jermaine Jenas has opened up on the incident. He says that every Newcastle player were shocked at the incident, especially given that Dyer and Bowyer were good friends. Yet, he has once again plainly illustrated the intense stress that a player has to go through during every match.

Dyer and Bowyer were part of the team that was losing 3-0 against Aston Villa. After getting involved into a bust up, both players were sent off with a straight red card. It is an incident which has been spoken even now, despite more than a decade.

Dyer and Bowyer have since retired. The former has been unable to match his potential, as he has suffered numerous injuries throughout his career. Even though it was a heated incident, Jenas claims that the two players forgot about the issue within seconds. Recently, Kieron Dyer spoke about the Newcastle’s relegation from the top flight. He did not expect Newcastle to come back to the Premier League, although the club have made a strong presence in the Championship this season.

“It was done within seconds. We actually had a moment as soon as the game finished where we all came in to the changing room and we said ‘go on then, do what you need to do now’ in the middle of the changing room.It was a very weird situation because they were genuine friends, that’s why we were all baffled. But when the intensity of the game gets that high and you’re not playing that well, sometimes emotions overflow,” said Jenas.
