Tottenham star Harry Kane says that he is flattered by the interest shown by Manchester United, but he has also reiterated his desire to stay at White Hart Lane.
Kane came through the ranks at the London outfit, but he has been linked with a move to a real top club like many at White Hart Lane. In the past, United have signed Spurs players like Michael Carrick and Dimitar Berbatov.Kane could be next on the list with United reportedly ready to offer around £ 40 million for the striker. After finishing last season as the PFA Young Player of the Year, Kane is a striker in demand.
The forward, though, remains keen on improving his critics that last season was not a one-off. He ended the campaign with 30 goals in all competitions, which is mightily impressive considering that he was not a Premier league starter during the first few months of the season. Tottenham failed to achieve their objectives after finishing outside the top four, but they can look forward to the Europa League once again next season. The prospect of joining United will sound appealing to any player, as it will come with the chance to win several trophies.
United were also interested in Gareth Bale but conceded the player to Real Madrid. “Of course I have been watching Sky Sports and have seen the interest. But I am happy at Spurs and I look forward to the future with Spurs. I have seen there is interest but that’s all I know. It is flattering for other clubs to maybe be interested. Tottenham are a big club and that’s how people have got to see it. I’m at a big club now and enjoying my football looking forward to next season at White Hart Lane,” said Kane.
